We hold your details in accordance with data protection legislation. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office for data protection, Register Entry: Z5016289.

How does the MEU hold my personal information?

Initially when you register an interest your details will be held electronically on our confidential volunteer database. Only when you attend the unit for the first time will your details be printed to form your volunteer notes. These notes will be stored securely within the unit and updated whenever you visit us.

Do the MEU share my personal information with any 3rd parties?

We do not share your personal information with any other company or third parties unless we have your prior written permission.

Will pharmaceutical companies see my personal information?

No, during your participation you will be known only by your sex, date of birth, subject number and initials. The pharmaceutical company will never see your name, address or contact details.

How do I leave the volunteer database once registered?

Simply call the team on 0800 655 6553 or write to us contact us and we will be happy to remove your details from the volunteer database. Your contact information will be erased from our system and we will not contact you again.

How does the MEU obtain my permission to hold my details?

Initially when we take your details over the phone we will ask for your verbal consent to hold your personal information. When you visit us for the first time we will ask you to sign a consent form to allow us to hold your details.
